It’s where Johnny Miller and others – including Jim Wiechers, Rod Funseth, Ron Cerrudo and Mark Lye – made their home while playing on the PGA Tour.Miller is a two-time winner at Silverado and is part of a distinguished list of champions, which includes Jack Nicklaus, Billy Casper, Tom Watson, Ben Crenshaw, Lee Trevino, Dave Stockton and Tom Kite.

“I’m amazed by the beauty of the place,” said Lee Westwood, a member of the victorious European team at the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles, Scotland last month. “It’s a spectacular spot. It’s magnificent. The golf course is very good, too.”
“It’s exciting every year. You kind of can’t wait to see who can make it, who doesn’t make it, and to challenge yourself against the best of the newcomers.”
It all starts today, the beginning of a new season that will culminate with the FedExCup Playoffs that once again features four events, concluding in September 2015 with the Tour Championship by Coca-Cola and the crowning of the FedExCup champion.
