Apple on Monday announced that the new handsets will arrive in 36 more countries and territories across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, and Africa by the end of October.

In addition to landing in China on Friday, the phones will also arrive in India and Monaco. They will then arrive in Israel on Oct. 23, and the Czech Republic, French West Indies, Greenland, Malta, Poland, Reunion Island, and South Africa on Oct. 24

With the new additions, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus will be available in a total of 69 countries by the end of the month, and Apple says it's on track to reach 115 countries by the end of the year, "making this the fastest iPhone rollout ever."

Meanwhile, Apple is also gearing up for a special media event this Thursday, where it's widely expected to unveil its next-generation iPad lineup.
